Nursing Students at the Arab American University Discover the Power of Humour in Healthcare with RED NOSES Palestine
An enthusiastic and energetic atmosphere filled a recent Humour Workshop attended by nursing students from the Arab American University in Al-Reehan, Ramallah. The workshop was delivered last Thursday by RED NOSES Palestine's Artistic Director, Daoud Totah.
RED NOSES Palestine (RNPS) is conducting a series of humour workshops for various Palestinian health institutions, as well as students and professionals working in the healthcare field. During this workshop, the participants learned about the importance of using humour in healthcare. It also focused on developing their skills to create an atmosphere of confidence and fun when interacting with children in hospitals, and utilising helpful tools and creative methods to engage with them.
This workshop is part of “Humour gives hope: Strengthening the mental health of vulnerable children & adolescents in Palestine through health clowning” project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK).
