Jasmine Charitable Society Explores the Power of Humour in Healthcare with RED NOSES Palestine

Last Saturday, an atmosphere of enthusiasm and joy filled a new humour workshop attended by a group of staff members from Jasmine Charitable Society in Ramallah, led by healthcare clown Christine Hodali.

 During the workshop, participants took part in a variety of interactive games and activities designed to develop important skills for engaging with children, particularly children with disabilities. These included balance, spatial awareness, focus and attention, responsiveness, and interaction, while also exploring creative ways to communicate and create a safe and comfortable environment for children.

This workshop is part of a series of humour workshops organised by RED NOSES Palestine for various Palestinian healthcare institutions, as well as students and healthcare professionals. The workshops aim to promote the use of humour and the arts as tools for communication and support, helping create more human and positive experiences for children in different settings.

  This workshop is part of “Humour gives hope: Strengthening the mental health of vulnerable children & adolescents in Palestine through health clowning” project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK).
