Bringing Laughter and Confidence to Children in Balata Refugee Camp Through Circus Smile

RED NOSES Palestine ( RNPS), in cooperation with Deertna Development Center, conducted the Circus Smile Workshop over four consecutive days.

The workshop aimed to provide children with a safe and enjoyable space where they could discover their abilities, develop concentration, and self-confidence, and strengthen their spirit of participation and teamwork through learning through play and circus skills.

Led by our healthcare clowns, Amneh Al Khreishy and Moatsaem Abu Hasan, the workshop offered children the chance to explore circus skills and magic games- all in an atmosphere filled with laughter, creativity, and joy.

Circus Smile is a programme by RED NOSES designed to empower children in marginalised areas. Through circus skills training , it helps them build self-confidence, express themselves, and connect with their communities.

This workshop is part of “Humour gives hope: Strengthening the mental health of vulnerable children & adolescents in Palestine through health clowning” project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK).
