A New Workshop on Outreach Programme for our Healthcare Clows

Last Friday, RED NOSES Palestine (RNPS) held a specialised artistic workshop for its healthcare clown team, focusing on developing their skills for the “Outreach Programme” and preparing them to join the programme. The programme aims to reach more children through clowning, play, and laughter, particularly children in marginalised communities and those outside the hospital environment.

During the workshop, the clowns learned a range of artistic and performance skills and practised using movement, play, and humour as part of their performances. These skills will support them in delivering interactive performances for larger groups of children and reaching them in a variety of settings and environments.

The training was led by Daoud Totah, Artistic Director of RNPS, who shared his artistic expertise with the clowns and supported them in developing creative tools that are suited to the specific requirements of community outreach work.

The workshop is part of RED NOSES Palestine’s ongoing commitment to investing in the continuous development of its healthcare clown team and strengthening their artistic and creative capacities. This contributes to enhancing the quality of programmes and services provided to children and target groups, while bringing art, play, and laughter to more places and communities.

This workshop is part of “Humour gives hope: Strengthening the mental health of vulnerable children & adolescents in Palestine through health clowning” project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK).
