Wrapping Up a Journey of Expression & Joy for Mothers of Children with Disabilities at Nahda Women’s Association.
RED NOSES Palestine (RNPS) and the Palestinian Circus (PC) concluded ten relief sessions at Nahda Women’s Association as part of "MARAH" Project.
We concluded ten relief sessions delivered to the caregivers of children with disabilities yesterday. In these sessions, the artists from the Palestinian Circus and healthcare clowns from RNPS offered creative, non-traditional tools to support caregivers, especially mothers of children and rehabilitation center staff. These sessions aimed not only to equip participants with practical techniques but also to provide a safe and supportive space where they could express emotions and share personal experiences.
"I never imagined as a mother, I would be able to play circus and magic games. I really enjoyed these sessions — they helped us release a lot emotionally. I also loved performing in front of my son, who enjoyed the show and had so much fun. I felt that it gave us courage and made our personalities stronger.”Said a participant.
The final session was led by our healthcare clown, Christine Hodali, alongside Artistic Trainer Mohammad Taqatqa from The Palestinian Circus , and featured participant-led performances that combined humour and circus, empowering mothers with new ways to strengthen their communication with children with disabilities.
“MARAH” Project is part of the Innovation Fund, supported by RED NOSES International (RNI) in cooperation with RNPS and PC.
