New Training Workshop for Our New Healthcare Clowns: Character Building and Music Basics.
Today, we held a specialised training workshop at our headquarter in Birzeit. The workshop aimed to develop their skills and strengthen their professional capacities.
The training focused on two main areas. The first covered building the clown’s artistic character from all aspects, under the supervision of our Artistic Director, Daoud Totah. This included developing stage presence, expression, interaction with children, costume design, as well as character names and traits.
The second part focused on the basics of music and singing, led by trainer Mohanad Fadli. It included vocal exercises, understanding musical scales, singing techniques, and how to effectively use rhythm while avoiding common mistakes. This helps enhance their ability to deliver meaningful and engaging experiences in hospitals.
This training is part of the preparation phase to begin the second clown stage in hospitals for the new clowns.
This workshop is part of “Humour gives hope: Strengthening the mental health of vulnerable children & adolescents in Palestine through health clowning” project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK).
