Empowering Caregivers Through Play, Connection, and Creativity at Jasmine Charitable Society
“I used the exaggeration game with the children as a way to convince them to stay. Today, I learned from you how important it is to focus on this technique when communicating with a child with a disability. This encouraged me to improve and use it more often,” said a worker at the Jasmine Charitable Society.
RNPS in collaboration with the Palestinian Circus, are conducting a series of Relief Sessions aimed at empowering caregivers and mothers of children with disabilities through creative and non-traditional tools. These sessions provide practical techniques and create a safe, supportive space for caregivers to express their emotions and share their experiences.
Last Wednesday, the session was led by our healthcare clown Rizeq Ibrahim and artistic trainer Ranin Odeh from The Palestinian Circus. Through interactive games, they focused on values of communication, teamwork, and sensory activation to strengthen communication with the children. The sessions will be concluded with a performance dedicated to the children and their caregivers.
It is worth noting that similar sessions are also being held at two additional rehabilitation centres in Ramallah: Nahda Women’s Association and Star Mountain Rehabilitation Centre. “MARAH” Project is part of the Innovation Fund, supported by RED NOSES International (RNI) in cooperation with RNPS and PC.
